Get a karaoke instrumental and a clean a cappella from any song — free, no sign-up, the file never leaves your device.
Want a karaoke version of a song, a clean a cappella for a remix, or just the beat to rap over? An AI vocal remover splits a finished mix into two files: the vocal and the instrumental. Here is how to do it for free in your browser.
Step by step
- Open the free PulSound vocal remover.
- Drop your song (MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC, up to 15 minutes).
- The first time, the browser downloads the AI model (~64 MB). After that it starts at once.
- Wait for the progress bar. With a graphics card it takes about as long as the song.
- Listen to both results and press Download WAV for the vocal, the instrumental or both.

How good is it?
The tool uses Kim Vocal 2 — a UVR MDX-Net model by KimberleyJensen from Ultimate Vocal Remover, one of the most popular vocal models. Clear lead vocals separate very well. Harder cases: heavy reverb and echo, stacked backing vocals, and very dense mixes — some traces may stay in the other file. No vocal remover is perfect, so always listen before you publish.
Private and safe
- The song is processed on your own computer and is never uploaded.
- The model file is byte-identical to the official UVR release, and the browser checks its fingerprint every time before using it.
- Only use songs you have the rights to when you publish the result.
Speed tips
- Use the latest Chrome or Edge on a computer — they use the graphics card (WebGPU) and are many times faster.
- Without WebGPU (some phones and older browsers) it still works on the processor, but a 3-minute song can take 15–20 minutes. You can cancel at any time.
