If something doesn’t work
Almost everything in PulSound happens inside your own browser, so most problems come from the browser or the device, not from your file. Find what you see below — each answer says why it happens and how to fix it. Still stuck? Write to us through the support form.
The quick fix for most things: use the latest Chrome or Edge on a computer, close other heavy tabs and refresh the page with Ctrl + F5 (on Mac: Cmd + Shift + R).
Studio and export
The “Export video” button does nothing, or the export is very slow
Why: Older browsers cannot encode video frame by frame, so the video is recorded in real time — a 4-minute track then takes 4 minutes, and the tab must stay on screen.
What to do: Update Chrome or Edge (Menu → Help → About). Keep the tab visible during export and close heavy tabs and programs.
The video was saved as WebM, not MP4
Why: Your browser (usually Firefox) has no built-in MP4 encoder. YouTube and TikTok accept WebM, Instagram does not.
What to do: Open PulSound in an up-to-date Chrome, Edge or Safari and export again.
The exported video has no sound
Why: The track was not added, the clip range is set to a silent part, or the file uses a protected format.
What to do: Check that the track name is shown under “Add audio”, press Preview to hear it, and set the video length to “Best 30 s” or the whole track.
The end card “Made with PulSound” is missing
Why: The end card is only added to videos longer than 6 seconds.
What to do: Make the clip at least 6 seconds long, or keep the option on in Export settings.
A GPU template (Particle Storm, 3D Cover, Neon Tunnel…) shows simple bars instead
Why: These templates are drawn by your graphics card. If the browser cannot use it, the studio falls back to bars so the video still works.
What to do: Turn on hardware acceleration: Chrome/Edge → Settings → System → “Use graphics acceleration when available”, restart the browser. Update your graphics drivers if it still does not work.
The preview stutters
Why: The preview is drawn at the full export size; heavy templates on a weak computer or phone drop frames. The exported video is not affected.
What to do: Close other tabs, pick a lighter template (Bars, Wave, Frame Pulse) for previewing, or lower the resolution while you set things up.
No “Suggested for your track” styles appear
Why: The track is too short (under about 5 seconds), silent, or could not be analysed.
What to do: Use a full song or at least a 10-second clip. You can always pick a template or a mood/genre preset by hand.
Phones and tablets
I cannot add a song on iPhone
Why: iPhone only lets websites open files from the Files app. Songs from Apple Music or Spotify are protected and cannot be used.
What to do: Save your MP3, WAV or M4A to the Files app (from email, iCloud Drive or a messenger) and choose it from there.
I cannot find the video after the export on my phone
Why: Phones save downloads to the browser’s Downloads, not to the photo gallery.
What to do: After the export press “Save to gallery or share” and choose “Save video”. On Android the file is also in the Downloads folder.
The page freezes on my phone
Why: Long tracks, 4K and many photos need a lot of memory.
What to do: Use 9:16 at 1080p or 720p, the “Best 30 s” length, and up to 20 photos. Close other apps.
Photos and video clips
Some photos were skipped
Why: They are probably HEIC (the iPhone format) — not every browser can open it.
What to do: Save them as JPEG (iPhone: Settings → Camera → Formats → Most Compatible) and add them again.
Export with video clips is slow
Why: Each clip has to be moved to the exact frame for every moment of the video; long or 4K clips take longer.
What to do: Use short clips of 5–20 seconds each and at most 12 videos.
The photos change rarely
Why: They change on the beat; in quiet parts or a long intro there are few beats (a change still happens every 6 seconds).
What to do: Set “Change photo” to “every beat” or “every 2 beats”.
Free tools
“This browser cannot create the video” in the video tool
Why: Video resize needs WebCodecs, which Firefox and older browsers do not have.
What to do: Use the latest Chrome or Edge on a computer.
The loudness meter says the file is silent
Why: The file has no audible sound, or it is a format the browser cannot decode.
What to do: Check that the file plays on your computer; convert it to WAV or MP3 with the Convert audio tool first.
The BPM looks half or double
Why: Many songs can be counted in half time or double time.
What to do: Use the alternative tempo shown next to the result, or press “Tap tempo” and tap along with the beat.
MP3 saving takes long
Why: MP3 is encoded on your device; long tracks at 320 kbps take time on slower computers.
What to do: Choose WAV (instant) or a lower MP3 quality.
Account and site
The sign-in code or link did not arrive
Why: It can take a minute, or it went to spam/promotions.
What to do: Check the Spam and Promotions folders, wait a minute and request a new one. The link is valid for 15 minutes.
The page looks broken or old
Why: Your browser kept an old copy of the site.
What to do: Refresh with Ctrl + F5 (Mac: Cmd + Shift + R). If it persists, clear the cache for pulsound.com.
