How to make a lyric video for free

Paste your lyrics, sync them in one listen and export — a simple way to make a clean lyric video in your browser without editing software.
Lyric videos are often the first video a song gets on YouTube, and fans genuinely watch them to sing along. You don't need video-editing software or a designer to make one. Here's how to do it in PulSound for free.
1. Choose the background
A lyric video still needs something to look at. Open the studio and pick any template — a calm one like Aurora, Polar Nebula or Smoke Trails keeps the words readable. Lyrics are a separate layer, so they work over every template.
2. Paste the lyrics
Open the Lyrics section and paste the words, one line per caption. Already have an .lrc file with timings? Use Import .lrc and you're done with syncing.
3. Sync in one listen
Load your track, press Tap sync, and then press Enter at the start of each line while the song plays. That's it — each line now appears exactly when it's sung. For frame-perfect timing, adjust any line's [mm:ss] timestamp by hand.
4. Pick a style
- Karaoke fill — the current line fills word by word.
- Kinetic words — bold, animated words for energetic tracks.
- Three lines — previous, current and next line together.
- Clean line — one centred line at a time, the most readable choice.
Set the position and text size; keep the words in the centre for vertical videos.
5. Export
Choose 16:9 for YouTube, or 9:16 with Best 30 s — auto for a TikTok or Reels teaser, and press Export video.
Tips
- Keep each line short — one breath per caption reads best.
- High contrast wins: light text on a darker background, or turn up Darken background behind a photo.
- Save the look in My styles so every single in the release has the same lyric style.
