Every control in the studio, grouped the way the panel groups them. The same text appears behind the small ? next to each field.

Style preset

Picks a template and tunes colours, sensitivity, font and effects to suit a genre in one click. Everything it sets stays editable afterwards.

Audio file

MP3, WAV, FLAC and M4A all work. Read on your own computer, never uploaded.

Aspect ratio, resolution, file type, frame rate

Covered in detail on the How to use PulSound page — in short: match the ratio to where the video is going, 1080p/30fps is the safe default, and MP4 works everywhere.

Images

Cover art

Square works best — 1200×1200. Other shapes are cropped from the centre. Shown by templates built around artwork.

Cover reaction

How much the cover art pulses in size with the volume. Zero keeps it still; higher values make it visibly breathe.

Background image

1920×1080 for 16:9, 1080×1920 for 9:16. Scaled to fill the frame and cropped from the centre — keep the subject in the middle.

Darken background / Background reacts to music / Background reaction

Darken raises a dimming layer over the photo so text stays readable. The reaction toggle makes the photo zoom and nudge with the beat; the reaction slider scales how strongly.

Colours

Accent colour / Second colour

The main and secondary colours used throughout the template — gradients blend between them where a template uses one.

Background / Background is a gradient

A flat colour, or switch on the gradient toggle for a smooth blend between two colours at an adjustable angle.

Text

Title text / Artist text

Drawn onto the video. Leave either empty for a cleaner frame.

Each has its own colour, independent of the other, and each can be switched to a two-colour gradient on its own.

Font, text size, text weight, text position

27 fonts spanning geometric, condensed, serif, script, monospace and display styles. Position keeps text away from the bottom on vertical video, where apps place captions and buttons.

Timer

An optional clock burned into the exported video — separate from the Discover page's own player, which has its own independent time display. Choose count up (0:00 growing) or count down (shrinking to 0:00), a corner, and a colour.

Lyrics

Paste lyrics one line per caption. A [mm:ss] prefix times that line precisely; without one, lines are spread out automatically as a rough approximation. Tap Sync sets exact timing by pressing a button once per line while the track plays.

Fine tuning

Sensitivity

How strongly visuals answer the music. Lower for loud, compressed masters; raise for quiet or sparse tracks.

Detail

How many bars, dots or segments are drawn. Fewer is bolder on a phone; more looks finer on a large screen.

Glow

A soft halo around shapes. A little makes neon-style visuals pop; too much blurs everything.

Particles, particle size, speed, reaction

Shared controls for every particle-based template — how many, how large, how fast at rest, and how strongly they answer the beat.

Effects

Rain, snow, fog, lightning, fireflies, bubbles, falling leaves, glass drips, film grain, VHS glitch and a light leak — layer any number on top of the current template. One shared intensity slider scales every active effect together.

Transparent background

Exports with no background at all, keeping only the reactive shapes and text — for layering over a live stream in OBS or Streamlabs. Locks the file type to WebM, since MP4 has no way to store transparency.
