Smart crop: vertical videos that follow the action
Turning a 16:9 video into 9:16 no longer cuts off what matters — the frame follows the movement.
The video resize tool has a new option: ✨ Smart crop — follows the action.
- Cropping a horizontal video to 9:16 used to keep only the middle, so a singer or a guitarist at the side simply disappeared.
- Smart crop scans the clip first (a few seconds), finds where the movement is and moves the frame smoothly with it, like a camera operator.
- It works for 9:16, 1:1 and 4:5, and with “All three” formats at once.
Everything still happens on your device.
